Job summary

Michael Page is seeking a Data Center Service Engineer in Kuala Lumpur to lead delivery of large-scale data center facility projects. You will manage power distribution, electrical monitoring, and HVAC systems, ensuring quality and on-time completion.

You will collaborate with internal teams and clients, translate requirements into practical technical solutions, and sometimes travel overseas for regional projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of data center facility project delivery experience.
• Hands-on experience delivering large-scale data center projects.
• Strong knowledge of Power Distribution Systems, Electrical Monitoring Systems and HVAC.

Responsibilities

• Manage technical delivery of power distribution, electrical monitoring, HVAC and other critical facility infrastructure in data center environments.
• Take ownership of technical and project management responsibilities during planning and implementation.
• Develop and execute delivery strategies for feasibility, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
• Lead and support design and enhancement of technical solutions for data center projects.
• Drive project quality and delivery performance through governance and tools.
• Oversee installation, testing, commissioning, and acceptance activities for critical facility systems.
• Ensure alignment with customer requirements, standards, and procedures.
• Collaborate with internal teams, customers, and stakeholders to ensure successful delivery.
• Monitor progress and resolve technical challenges to meet milestones.

As a Data Center Service Engineer, you will play a key role in the successful delivery of data center facility projects, ensuring technical excellence and efficient project execution throughout the project lifecycle. Key responsibilities include:

• Manage the technical delivery of power distribution systems, electrical monitoring systems, HVAC systems, and other critical facility infrastructure within data center environments.
• Take ownership of key technical and project management responsibilities during project planning and implementation phases.
• Develop and execute delivery strategies that ensure technical feasibility, operational efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
• Lead and support the detailed design and enhancement of technical solutions for data center projects.
• Drive project quality and delivery performance through effective technical governance, delivery methodologies, and management tools.
• Oversee installation, testing, commissioning, and acceptance activities for critical facility systems.
• Ensure project execution aligns with customer requirements, technical standards, and organizational procedures.
• Collaborate with internal teams, customers, and project stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery outcomes.
• Monitor project progress and resolve technical challenges to achieve delivery milestones and project objectives.

The Successful Applicant

The ideal candidate should possess:

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Data Center Technology, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in data center facility project delivery.
• Hands-on experience delivering large-scale data center projects.
• Strong knowledge of:

• Experience in technical management and project delivery within data center environments.
