Job summary

CBRE Malaysia seeks a skilled Building M&E Engineer to operate, inspect and maintain mechanical and electrical equipment across assigned facilities, ensuring safe and efficient performance.

Candidates should hold BO Chargeman license or be eligible; minimum seven years as licensed electrician, GED, apprenticeship, and DDC/EMS familiarity are important. This is an on-site role in Johor Bahru with strong communication and problem-solving abilities.

Qualifications

• M&E and FM knowledge required.
• BO Chargeman certification 33kV preferred.
• High school diploma or GED with 7+ years as licensed electrician; apprenticeship preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required; Master Electrician license per local codes may apply.
• Strong written and verbal communication; organized and analytical.
• Familiarity with DDC and EMS systems.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned inspections, quality control, and supervision of employees, sub-contractors and other services.
• Deal with incidents, complaints, breakdowns and repairs.
• Act as a Competent Person in technical assessments and troubleshooting with service providers.
• Provide 24-hour emergency support and first response readiness.
• Carry out routine inspections with standard checklists and coordinate tenant repairs/licensing renewals.
• Plan and execute preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Supervise term contractors and service providers to ensure quality and safety compliance.
• Attend to technical calls and ensure safety rules are followed.
• Regular inspections to ensure smooth daily operation of M&E equipment.
• Perform other work required for EC compliance and property operation.
