Job summary

Techwise Digital Sdn. Bhd. Malaysia is seeking a Daily Inspection and Equipment Maintenance Assistant to monitor server room infrastructure, perform routine inspections, and support maintenance engineers.

You will record environmental data, assist with inventory, control access, and participate in emergency drills, with a focus on safety and reliability.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or above in data center infra management.
• Minimum two years' experience in data center infrastructure.
• Proficient in English and Mandarin communication.
• Familiar with HVAC main equipment status and maintenance.
• Familiar with electrical main equipment status and maintenance.
• Knowledge of IDC infrastructure and data centers.
• Strong communication, coordination, documentation, and sense of responsibility.
• Adaptive, analytical, and quick to respond to changes.

Responsibilities

(I) Daily Inspection and Equipment Maintenance Assistance

• Strictly adhere to data center operation and maintenance standard procedures to complete daily inspections of the server room and supporting areas. Focus on monitoring the operational status of core infrastructure such as high and low voltage power distribution, UPS, batteries, precision air conditioning, chillers, fire protection, security, and environmental monitoring. Record operating parameters in real time, promptly identify and report any abnormalities or potential hazards.
• Assist maintenance engineers in completing basic tasks such as daily infrastructure maintenance, cleaning, and debugging. Cooperate in monthly and quarterly preventative maintenance of equipment, follow up on on-site maintenance work by third-party service providers, and provide full on-site supervision and cooperation to ensure compliant implementation of maintenance work.
• Responsible for the daily monitoring of environmental indicators such as temperature, humidity, cleanliness, and power supply in the server room. Ensure the server room environment meets equipment operating standards, adjust basic environmental parameters promptly, and prevent environmental anomalies from affecting normal equipment operation.

(II) Ledger Management and Data Recording

• Standardize the completion of various documents such as maintenance and inspection logs, equipment operation ledgers, fault handling records, and inventory entry/exit registrations, ensuring data accuracy, completeness, clarity, and full traceability.
• Proficiently use office software to organize maintenance data, generate daily maintenance reports, assist in archiving and classifying maintenance materials, and collaborate with the team to conduct maintenance data review and analysis.
• Responsible for the registration, inventory, and management of infrastructure-related spare parts, consumables, and tools; ensure proper inventory control and guarantee sufficient and properly stored maintenance materials.

(III) On-site Management and Emergency Assistance

• Strictly implement the data center access control system, responsible for the registration and control of personnel, equipment, and materials entering and leaving the data center, maintaining order in the computer room, and ensuring the physical security of the data center.
• Cooperate with the team to carry out emergency response to infrastructure failures, complete basic operations according to the emergency plan, assist engineers in troubleshooting simple faults, shorten fault handling time, and reduce business impact.
• Participate in data center emergency drills, security training, and other activities, master basic emergency operation procedures, and improve the ability to respond to emergencies.

(iv) Other tasks

• Complete other data center facility operation and maintenance support tasks assigned by superiors, actively cooperate with the team to complete cross-departmental collaborative tasks, and obey work arrangements and shift schedules.

Requirements:

1. Associate's degree or above, with relevant experience in Data Center Infrastructure management.
2. Min two years or above work experience in the same area.
3. MUST be able to communicate and write proficiently in English & Mandarin.
4. Familiar with Operating Technical and status of the main equipment of HVAC professional system, implement maintenance and repair work.
5. Familiar with Operating Technology and status of major equipment in electrical professional systems, implement maintenance and repair work.
6. Familiar with basic knowledge of IDC infrastructure Air Conditioning and Power Distribution, as well as IDC Data Center.
7. Excellent communication and coordination skills, document organization skills, and a strong sense of responsibility.
8. Stable personality, down-to-earth, meticulous, with clear thinking; strong analytical and learning abilities, and able to adapt quickly to changes.
9. Able to proactively identify problems, provide timely feedback, and summarize findings promptly.
