Job summary

Banyano Asia Sdn Bhd is seeking a seasoned Data Center Facilities Manager to oversee on-site operations of critical facilities, including power, cooling, BMS and safety compliance. You will standardize SOPs, lead incident response, and drive energy optimization proposals to reduce PUE while maintaining high reliability.

The role requires at least 5 years in data center infrastructure operations, a bachelor’s degree or higher, and professional certifications such as PMP or ITIL.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of data center experience with at least 2 years in infrastructure operation.
• Bachelor’s degree or above preferred.
• Certifications such as PMP, ITIL, Uptime Institute AOS, CDCP are a big plus.
• Expertise in BMS monitoring system operation and troubleshooting.
• Solid hands-on experience with power & HVAC in Tier 3/4 data centers.
• Strong logical thinking, communication, and ability to work under pressure.
• Fluent English for overseas project coordination.

Job description

1.Conduct daily patrol, regular inspection, preventive maintenance and routine testing of core infrastructure equipment, covering high & low voltage power distribution, UPS, battery banks, diesel generators, precision air conditioners, cooling towers, water systems and BMS building management systems.

2.Lead troubleshooting for equipment failures, power outages, abnormal temperature and other emergencies, formulate disposal plans and minimize operation downtime risks.

3.Standardize on-site operation SOPs, emergency response plans and maintenance records; sort out operation logs, inspection reports and equipment archives to realize standardized facility management.

4.Cooperate with third-party maintenance vendors, supervise their maintenance quality, safety compliance and work progress, and follow up on hidden danger rectification.

5.Participate in data center renovation, equipment upgrading and new facility acceptance; put forward energy-saving optimization proposals to improve PUE and cut operational costs.

6.Provide technical guidance for junior operation staff, organize professional skill training, and lift the overall technical capability of the team.

7.Strictly implement safety operation specifications, organize regular safety risk inspections and eliminate potential safety hazards on site.

Job Requirements

1.Minimum 5 years of overall working experience in data center industry, with at least 2 years dedicated experience in data center infrastructure operation position.

2. Full-time Bachelor’s degree or above is preferred.

3. Hold internationally recognized professional certifications such as PMP, ITIL, Uptime Institute AOS, CDCP or equivalent certificates is a big plus.

4.Master the full-stack knowledge of critical facilities management, proficient in BMS monitoring system operation and troubleshooting; familiar with industry standards like Uptime MO and CQC8302.

5.Solid hands-on experience on power & HVAC infrastructure of Tier 3 / Tier 4 data centers, capable of independently handling all kinds of equipment faults and emergency incidents.

6.Strong logical thinking, good communication and coordination ability, able to work under pressure and respond to on-call emergency shifts.

7.Fluent written and spoken English is required for overseas data center project cooperation.
