TheGigabit is seeking a Data Centre Engineer in Cyberjaya to support daily data centre operations, perform basic installation and troubleshooting of servers and switches, and manage rack cabling. This on-site role requires hands-on work and a willingness to rotate shifts.

• Diploma in IT or related field.
• Basic knowledge of data center infrastructure, servers, switches, and network cabling.
• Basic hardware troubleshooting skills.
• Willing to perform hands-on technical tasks and work on-site.
• Able to work rotating shift (morning, night, and midnight) to support 24/7 operations, including weekends and public holidays as scheduled.

Responsible for supporting daily data center operations, including basic infrastructure support, hardware troubleshooting, network cabling management, and on-site technical assistance.

Key Responsibilities:

Support daily data center infrastructure operations and maintenance.

Perform basic installation and troubleshooting of servers, switches, and related hardware.

Manage network cabling within and across server racks.

Assist with customer/vendor visits and on-site tasks, including hardware installation, relocation and removal.

Perform shift handovers and ensure smooth operations across shifts.

Job Requirements:

Possess at least a Diploma in Information Technology (IT) or a related field.

Basic knowledge of data center infrastructure, servers, switches, and network cabling.

Basic hardware troubleshooting skills.

Willing to perform hands-on technical tasks and work on-site.

Able to work rotating shift (morning, night, and midnight) to support 24/7 operations, including weekends and public holidays as scheduled.

Responsible, detail-oriented, proactive and a good team player.
