Job summary

Weichai Singapore Pte Ltd is seeking an experienced Assistant Service Manager to oversee diesel generator systems for mission-critical data centers. You will lead service teams, plan preventive and corrective maintenance, and coordinate with customers, engineers, and subcontractors to maximize uptime.

The role emphasizes adhering to OEM standards, safety, and SLAs, while driving continuous improvement and efficient resource use in a site-based setup.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, or power generation engineering (or related field).
• 5–8 years in diesel generator systems, data centers, or service operations; supervisory experience.
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines, alternators, generator control systems, fuel systems, and maintenance planning.
• Familiarity with CMMS/ERP systems, NFPA 110, ISO 8528, and data center standards.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operation, maintenance, reliability, and availability of diesel generator systems for data centers.
• Develop and maintain preventive and corrective maintenance plans per OEMs, contracts, and SLAs.
• Plan and coordinate maintenance activities, tests, overhauls, and outages with customers and internal stakeholders.
• Ensure maintenance is safe, efficient, and minimally disruptive to operations.
• Create and manage maintenance work orders in CMMS; document records and close actions promptly.
