Job summary

Weichai Singapore Pte Ltd is seeking an Assistant Project Engineer to support data centre projects across Malaysia and APAC. You will assist in planning, cost control, testing, and documentation while coordinating with contractors, clients, and internal teams.

You will contribute to FAT/SAT activities, ensure safety and regulatory compliance, and help drive continuous improvement in project execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
• Experience as a Project Engineer or similar role, preferably in Data Centre or critical infrastructure projects.
• Strong understanding of project management principles and construction processes.
• Experience with genset systems or similar power/critical equipment is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee project activities to ensure compliance with specifications, drawings, schedules, and contractual requirements.
• Support Project Manager in developing and executing project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
• Monitor project progress and address risks or issues impacting delivery.
• Provide administrative support for project operations, including processing progress claims, payment documentation, and finance records.
• Track project costs and payment status in coordination with finance and commercial teams.
• Review monthly progress reports and maintain project documentation and test reports.
• Assist FAT/SAT activities to verify quality, performance, and contractual standards.
• Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and internal teams; communicate project status and technical matters.
