Job summary

TRI Environmental Asia Sdn Bhd in Malaysia is seeking a Data Management professional to receive and log material samples, enter test results and computer data, and generate reports. The role supports the data management and laboratory teams and helps maintain QA practices.

You will perform data entry, format test reports in Word and Excel, manage records, monitor turnaround time, and assist with department processes.

Qualifications

• Must be proficient with MS Office and able to format reports in Word and Excel.
• Typing speed of at least 45 words per minute.
• Experience with data entry and basic data management.

Job description

Data Management role reporting to the Data Management Supervisor. Responsible for receiving and logging material samples to be tested, data entry of test results and computer data, and generation of necessary reports. The role involves managing administrative department functions, maintaining a safe and secure work environment, and coordinating with laboratory and data management teams.

Key responsibilities

Receive and log material samples to be tested, enter test results and computer data

Generate necessary reports and perform formatting of test reports in word and excel

Perform data entry of all data generated in the laboratory; check all graphs, computations and remarks from worksheets

Prepare test report drafts and review initial test reports

Perform physical and computer log-in of samples as needed

Monitor turnaround time (TAT) of all activities performed in section

Manage filing, organization, maintenance, protection and archiving of all records and documents (hard copies and electronic files)

Coordinate with Laboratory for sampling requirements

Assist the data management team leader for overall work processes in the department

Attend staff meetings and perform related activities as assigned

About you

Must be computer literate and familiar with MS Office Applications

Must be proficient in excel, knowing how to create charts and compose formulas

Must be familiar with Acrobat

Must be able to type at least 45 words per minute

At least 2 years in college
