Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking a data engineer to design, implement and optimise end-to-end data pipelines, improving integration and processing of data across the organisation.

You will oversee storage, transformation and retrieval for analytics and reporting, deliver actionable insights with Tableau and Dataiku, and enforce data governance, security and regulatory alignment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in data engineering and data analytics within large-scale organisations.
• Strong technical expertise in modern data platforms, including cloud-based solutions.
• Hands-on experience with SQL, Python, Dataiku and Tableau.
• Expertise in data governance, security and regulatory compliance in finance.

Job Description

• Design, implement, and optimise end-to-end data pipelines to improve the integration and processing of data.
• Oversee data storage, transformation, and retrieval processes to support analytics and reporting requirements.

Data Analytics & Reporting:

• Deliver actionable insights through analytics and reporting tools, enabling data-driven decision-making across the organisation.
• Implement robust data visualisation frameworks to enhance data accessibility and usability.

Data Governance:

• Enforce data governance frameworks, ensuring data quality, security, compliance, and regulatory alignment.
• Promote a culture of accountability and best practices around data usage and stewardship.
• Design, build and maintain scalable data architectures, enabling the seamless integration of new technologies and methodologies.
• Collaborate with the clients data, technology and business teams to ensure alignment between solutions and business needs.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in data engineering, and data analytics within large-scale organisations, preferably in financial services.
• Strong technical expertise in modern data platforms, including cloud-based solutions, data lakes, and data warehouses.
• Hands-on experience with tools and technologies such as SQL, Python, Dataiku & Tableau.
• Expertise in data governance, regulatory compliance, and security standards in the financial sector.
• Deep understanding of solutions architecture and its application to enterprise-level data systems.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into business language.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to navigate ambiguity while driving results.
• A collaborative mindset with a track record of working across diverse teams to deliver impactful solutions.
