Job summary

MR D.I.Y. is seeking a Data Analyst Executive (R-D - System - Optimization) to enhance our internal data tools and automate processes. You will write SQL and Python/pandas scripts, support system logic, and implement inventory planning insights to boost operational efficiency.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine tools, troubleshoot issues, and identify opportunities for workflow improvements, with a proactive mindset toward adopting new technologies and methods.

Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in Python and SQL, with practical experience applying these skills to real-world projects.
• Advanced Excel skills, with the ability to build and maintain analyses and reports.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
• A proactive mindset and willingness to pick up new tools, technologies, and responsibilities as business needs evolve.
• Good applied math/quantitative skills, with the ability to reason through business problems is an advantage.
• Understanding of inventory planning concepts is an advantage.
• Prior experience in data analytics or working with large datasets is an advantage.
• Familiarity with PyQt or similar frameworks for building internal applications is an advantage.
• Experience with BI/reporting tools such as PowerBI, Looker Studio, or similar is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain in-house tools and systems based on defined business requirements.
• Write, optimize, and maintain SQL queries and Python/pandas scripts to support system logic, data processing and automation.
• Apply inventory planning logic and best practices within system implementations to support efficient operations.
• Troubleshoot, debug and refine existing tools based on feedback from stakeholders across the department.
• Support data analysis tasks as needed, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to ensure tools and outputs meet business needs.
• Take initiative in identifying opportunities to improve existing processes, tools, and workflows.
