MR.DIY Group (M) Berhad is seeking a data tools and analytics specialist in Malaysia to develop and maintain in-house tools using Python, SQL, and Excel. You will support data processing, automation, and inventory planning within business systems, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve processes and outputs.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Implement and maintain in-house tools and systems based on defined business requirements
2. Write, optimize, and maintain SQL queries and Python/pandas scripts to support system logic, data processing and automation
3. Apply inventory planning logic and best practices within system implementations to support efficient operations
4. Troubleshoot, debug and refine existing tools based on feedback from stakeholders across the department
5. Support data analysis tasks as needed, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to ensure tools and outputs meet business needs
6. Take initiative in identifying opportunities to improve existing processes, tools, and workflows

Requirements:

• Strong proficiency in Python and SQL, with practical experience applying these skills to real-world projects
• Advanced Excel skills, with the ability to build and maintain analyses and reports
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with meticulous attention to detail
• A proactive mindset and willingness to pick up new tools, technologies, and responsibilities as business needs evolve
• Good applied math/quantitative skills, with the ability to reason through business problems is an advantage
