in Ipoh, Perak is seeking a Data Analyst to analyse business and operational data, create dashboards, and provide insights for data‑driven decisions across the organisation. You will gather data from multiple sources, ensure accuracy, and work with stakeholders to translate requirements into actionable analyses, with opportunities to automate reporting and improve data quality.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–3 years of experience in a Data Analyst/BI/Reporting role.
• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Business Analytics, IT, or related field.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, formulas, data cleaning, analysis).
• Good knowledge of SQL for data extraction, manipulation, and analysis.
• Experience using data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
• Ability to analyse large datasets and translate findings into clear, actionable insights for the business.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
• Experience with Python, Power Query, ERP systems, or reporting automation is a plus.

We are seeking an experienced Data Analyst to join our team at METHODICAL ENGINEERING SDN. BHD. in Ipoh, Perak. This is a full-time position that will play a crucial role in analysing business and operational data, developing meaningful reports, and providing insights to support data-driven decision‑making across the organisation.

What you'll be doing

• Collecting, cleaning, organising, and analysing data from multiple sources to identify trends, patterns, and business insights
• Developing and maintaining dashboards, reports, and data visualisations for management and relevant departments
• Monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) and preparing regular and ad-hoc analytical reports
• Ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of data used for reporting and analysis
• Working closely with internal stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into meaningful data insights
• Identifying opportunities to improve reporting processes, operational efficiency, and data quality
• Supporting management with data analysis for business planning, forecasting, and decision-making
• Assisting with automation and improvement of existing reporting and data management processes

What we’re looking for

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Business Analytics, Information Technology, or a related field

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables, formulas, data cleaning, and analysis
