Job summary

Murum Hydro Power Gen. is seeking an entry- to mid-level Civil Engineering site supervisor to assist engineers in daily project activities at a dam site in Malaysia. The role involves coordinating site work, reviewing drawings, and supporting safety and quality controls.

The successful candidate will have a Diploma in Civil Engineering with at least 1 year of construction and site supervision experience, and may possess additional competency certificates. Internal candidates may be preferred.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Civil Engineering or an equivalent certificate.
• Minimum one year of job experience in construction and site supervision.
• Relevant competency certificates will be an addition.

Responsibilities

• Assist Engineers and Senior Technicians in the preparation of budgets, tender documentation, technical drawings, and project supervision activities.
• Operate and maintain a wide range of dam geotechnical and instrumentation systems to ensure reliable performance and data accuracy.
• Conduct routine dam surveillance and inspections to identify, assess, and report potential deficiencies, anomalies, or safety concerns.
• Apply and support dam safety management practices in compliance with MYCOLD, ICOLD, ANCOLD, and other relevant international dam safety standards and guidelines.
• Collect, validate, analyze, and maintain instrumentation and monitoring data within the central database, including graphical representation and technical report preparation.
• Support stakeholder engagement activities and Emergency Preparedness Plan (EPP) exercises and drills.
• Identify and promptly escalate site issues to the Engineer, while verifying and certifying completed works in accordance with project requirements and quality standards.
• Coordinate, implement, monitor, and report on project progress, site activities, and operational performance to ensure timely project delivery.
• Carry out any other relevant assignments by the supervisor.
