Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity, especially in SaaS and cloud.
• Proficiency in security frameworks like NIST, OWASP, CIS.
• Strong knowledge of encryption, PKI, digital signature technologies.
• Hands-on experience with security tools such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, vulnerability scanners, and firewalls.
• Strong knowledge of encryption techniques, PKI, and digital signature technologies.
• Working rights in Malaysia (we do not offer visa sponsorship for this role).

Leveraging blockchain, AI, and secure communication channels like WhatsApp, GenieSign empowers users with seamless, verifiable, and immutable digital signing capabilities. As we grow, we are seeking a highly skilled Cyber Security Specialist to safeguard our platform, user data, and reputation against evolving threats. As a Cyber Security Specialist, you will be based in our Kuala Lumpur office, playing a crucial role in designing and maintaining robust security measures for GenieSign’s infrastructure, applications, and user data. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance, proactively address vulnerabilities, and respond to emerging threats.

Responsibilities

• Develop and enforce security policies, protocols, and best practices tailored to Genie Sign's blockchain and SaaS ecosystem. Design and implement secure systems and networks, ensuring adherence to global data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR, ISO 27001)
• Conduct regular security audits, penetration tests, and vulnerability assessments on Genie Sign's systems and applications. Identify, prioritize, and mitigate security vulnerabilities in cloud and on-premises environments
• Develop and maintain an incident response plan to detect, respond to, and recover from cybersecurity incidents. Lead investigations and remediation efforts following security breaches or incidents
• Ensure Genie Sign's platform complies with relevant cybersecurity standards and regulations. Maintain accurate documentation of security protocols, risk assessments, and incident reports
• Collaborate with the development team to integrate security best practices into the software development lifecycle (DevSecOps). Conduct security awareness sessions to promote a security-first culture within the organization
• Continuously monitor security systems and logs for anomalies or potential threats. Provide detailed security reports and updates to management and stakeholders

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
• 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity, with expertise in SaaS, cloud security, and blockchain technologies
• Proficiency in security frameworks (e.g., NIST, OWASP, CIS) and best practices
• Hands-on experience with security tools such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, vulnerability scanners, and firewalls
• Strong knowledge of encryption techniques, PKI, and digital signature technologies
• Working rights in Malaysia (we do not offer visa sponsorship for this role)

Preferred Skills

• Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or equivalent
• Experience in secure coding practices and DevSecOps methodologies
• Familiarity with WhatsApp API security and blockchain security
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
