Job summary

COHERENT is seeking an Electronics Technician for 100% onsite work in Ipoh, Malaysia. The role focuses on debugging and testing test boards, collaborating with board designers, and maintaining inventory of components and tools. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential, with the ability to handle changing priorities in a high-pressure, on-call setting.

Fresh graduates are welcome. Diploma in Electronics Engineering required, and soldering skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Electronics Engineering is required.
• Electronics knowledge, ability to read schematics, and good soldering skills with 1–2 years of experience; fresh grads welcome.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience with developing and implementing standards, procedures, and guidelines.
• Self-motivated with prioritization and deadline management; adapt to changing priorities.
• Flexible, able to work independently or in a team in a high-pressure on-call environment.
• Ability to work on 12-hour shifts.

• Responsible for test board debug & testing

• Liaise with board designer to debug test board issues

• Maintain inventory control of electronic components and tools

• Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and manage changing priorities;

• Proven ability to be flexible and work hard, both independently and in a team environment, in a high pressure on-call environment with changing priorities.

Job Requirements:
