Job summary

KK SUPER MART Cheras is seeking a Shop Assistant (Full Time) to assist customers with a friendly, professional approach and to maintain excellent store standards. The role involves stocking, shelf replenishment, and operating POS systems in a busy retail environment.

Ideal candidates have 1–3 years in retail, with SPM or Diploma and a Bachelor’s degree as an advantage. Team leadership experience is a plus, and flexibility for shifts, weekends, and holidays is expected.

Qualifications

• SPM, Diploma, or equivalent qualification. Bachelor’s Degree is an advantage.
• 1–3 years of retail experience is preferred.
• Supervisory or team-leading experience will be an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner.
• Provide excellent customer service and respond promptly to customer enquiries.
• Assist customers in locating products and provide basic product information when required.
• Receive, inspect, record, store, and arrange incoming merchandise.
• Monitor stock levels and replenish products on shelves when necessary.
• Ensure merchandise is properly displayed, organized, and in good condition.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable shopping environment.
• Operate the POS system and other store equipment in accordance with company guidelines.
• Handle store property and equipment responsibly and report any defects or damages.
• Assist in managing emergency situations and elevate incidents to the appropriate personnel.
• Support the store team in maintaining KK Supermart’s service standards and company image.
