Job summary

ARTANS CONSTRUCTION SDN. BHD. is seeking a competent CSA Engineer to oversee and coordinate civil, structural and architectural works at the project site. The role ensures construction activities conform to approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, safety rules and schedules.

You will work with consultants, subcontractors and internal teams to drive timely completion, supervise earthworks, concrete, steel, finishes, and coordinate testing, inspections and setting-out.

Job description

We are seeking a competent and experienced CSA Engineer to oversee and coordinate Civil, Structural and Architectural works at the project site. The role is responsible for ensuring that construction activities are carried out in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, safety requirements and project schedules.

The CSA Engineer will coordinate closely with consultants, subcontractors, suppliers and internal project teams to ensure smooth execution and timely completion of the works.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate civil construction activities, including earthworks, drainage, roads, concrete works and other infrastructure works.

Monitor site progress and ensure works are carried out according to approved drawings and specifications.

Conduct site inspections and coordinate testing and inspections as required.

Check setting-out, levels, dimensions and site measurements.

Coordinate with subcontractors and resolve site-related technical issues.

Structural Works

Supervise structural works including foundations, reinforced concrete, columns, beams, slabs and steel structures.

Review structural drawings, specifications and construction details.

Ensure reinforcement, formwork, concrete and structural works comply with approved drawings and quality requirements.

Coordinate structural inspections with consultants and relevant parties.

Identify and resolve structural construction issues in coordination with the Project Manager and consultants.

Coordinate architectural works including walls, partitions, doors, windows, ceilings, flooring, painting and other finishing works.

Review architectural drawings, shop drawings and material submissions.

Monitor workmanship and ensure architectural works meet the required quality and specifications.

Coordinate architectural works with Civil, Structural and M&E activities to avoid clashes and delays.

Attend inspections and coordinate rectification of defects.

General Project Responsibilities

Coordinate daily site activities with subcontractors, consultants and project teams.

Monitor project progress and ensure works are completed according to the approved schedule.

Review drawings and identify discrepancies or potential construction conflicts.

Prepare and maintain site records, inspection requests, progress reports and relevant project documentation.

Assist in preparation of work programmed, method statements and material submissions.

Monitor material usage, workmanship and compliance with project requirements.

Attend site meetings and provide technical updates on CSA works.

Ensure all works comply with relevant standards, specifications, safety requirements and statutory requirements.

Assist the Project Manager in resolving technical and construction-related issues.

Carry out other duties and responsibilities assigned by the Project Manager or Management.
