Job summary

Meinhardt EPCM Sdn. Bhd. in Penang requires a motivated CSA Engineer with 2–5 years of relevant experience to support Civil, Structural and Architectural works on site.

You will collaborate with the Project Manager, consultants and contractors to ensure quality, safety and schedule adherence throughout the works. The role demands reading construction drawings and specifications, strong coordination with multidisciplinary teams, and proactive management of QA/QC processes.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Civil, Structural, Construction Management, Architecture or related discipline.
• 2–5 years of relevant construction, engineering consultancy or project management experience.
• Good understanding of civil, structural and architectural construction processes.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications and technical documents.
• Experience in site coordination and contractor management.
• Familiarity with QA/QC procedures, inspections, NCRs and technical submissions.
• Proficient in MS Office; knowledge of AutoCAD is an advantage.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary project team.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and monitor Civil, Structural and Architectural works at site.
• Review construction drawings, specifications, shop drawings and technical submissions.
• Coordinate with consultants and contractors to resolve design and construction issues.
• Monitor site progress and ensure works are carried out in accordance with the approved programme.
• Conduct regular site inspections to verify workmanship, materials and installation against approved drawings and specifications.
• Review and follow up on RFI, technical submissions, method statements, inspection requests and NCRs.
• Coordinate architectural interfaces with structural, MEP and other disciplines.
• Monitor concrete, structural steel, façade, waterproofing, roofing, finishes and other CSA-related works.
• Assist in reviewing contractors' proposed construction methodologies and sequencing.
• Identify construction issues, potential delays and interface problems and escal.
