Job summary

Hong Poh Engineering Construction Sdn. Bhd. is seeking an experienced Construction Planner to establish and strengthen project planning practices for the CSA project team. You will work closely with the Project Director, Construction Managers and Engineers to drive timely delivery.

You will develop and manage master schedules, track milestones, and prepare EOT submissions while coordinating with procurement and site teams to ensure on-time completion.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering, Project Planning, Construction Management or related field.
• Minimum 3 years' experience in construction planning/scheduling.
• Experience in CSA construction projects is preferred.
• Proficient in Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft Project, with good Excel skills.
• Strong knowledge of resource planning, schedule development and critical path analysis.
• Experience in EOT claim preparation, delay analysis and documentation.
• Good understanding of construction sequencing, procurement timelines and site logistics.
• Strong analytical, coordination and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and manage master and detailed project schedules with resource loading.
• Track milestones, monitor progress and validate look-ahead schedules.
• Identify schedule variances and project risks, and propose recovery plans.
• Coordinate with Construction Managers, Engineers and stakeholders on manpower, materials, procurement timelines and approvals.
• Analyse schedule delays and recommend corrective actions.
• Prepare structured schedule updates and reports for management and stakeholders.
• Prepare and manage Extension of Time (EOT) submissions and supporting documentation.
• Support Procurement with schedule inputs for material deliveries and vendor commitments.
