Job summary

Delta Electronics Southeast Asia & Oceania is seeking a Field Service Engineer in Iskandar Puteri, Johor, Malaysia to work on datacentre, critical power and energy infrastructure projects. You will commission, test, troubleshoot and support power and cooling systems across Malaysia.

Responsibilities include handling SAT/IST activities, generating commissioning reports, providing on-site customer training, and supporting preventive maintenance and emergency responses as required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of field service, commissioning or M&E experience in data centre projects or industrial systems.
• Ability to read and interpret SLDs, electrical schematics and control drawings.
• Valid Malaysian driving license for extensive travel across Malaysia.

Responsibilities

• Commissioning, testing, troubleshooting and supporting Delta's critical power and cooling systems at customer sites.
• Provide technical support, root cause analysis and recommendations during commissioning and operations.
• Coordinate with project teams, customers, and partners; prepare reports and handover packages.

Iskandar Puteri (Johor Bahru) | Full-Time | Datacenters, Critical Power, Energy Infrastructure

Delta Electronics is seeking a motivated Field Service Engineer to join our growing Malaysia team. This role is ideal for engineers who enjoy hands‑on technical work, problem‑solving, customer interaction, and working on complex electrical and cooling infrastructure projects. You will be responsible for commissioning, testing, troubleshooting, and supporting Delta's critical power and thermal management systems across customer sites throughout Malaysia.

Key Responsibilities

(1) Commissioning & Tetsing

• Execute pre-commissioning and commissioning activities for critical power and cooling systems
• Conduct functional testing, verification, and validation of installed systems
• Support Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), Integrated System Testing (IST), and system handover activities
• Verify installations against approved drawings, specifications, and project requirements
• Perform signal checks, I/O verification, and communication testing between subsystems
• Conduct load bank testing and redundancy validation for mission‑critical environments

(2) Technical Support & Troubleshooting

• Diagnose and resolve issues related to: UPS Systems, Lithium‑Ion Battery Systems, Precision Cooling and In‑Row Cooling Systems, Monitoring and Control Systems, Building Management System (BMS) Interfaces, Data Centre Infrastructure Management (DCIM) Systems
• Support root cause analysis and corrective actions during commissioning and operational phases
• Provide technical recommendations to customers and project teams

(3) Project & Customer Support

• Coordinate closely with project managers, contractors, consultants, OEM partners, and customers
• Prepare commissioning reports, technical documentation, testing records, and handover packages
• Deliver system demonstrations, operator training, and post‑commissioning support
• Support service activities, preventive maintenance, and emergency response where required

Requirements

• Education: Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or a related discipline
• Minimum 3 years of experience in field service, commissioning, M&E, critical power, industrial systems, or data centre projects
• Ability to read and interpret SLDs, electrical schematics, control drawings, MEP drawings
• Valid Malaysian driving license as role requires you to travel extensively across malaysia

Highly Regarded

• Chargeman AO, A1 or A4 certification
• Certified Data Centre Professional (CDCP) or equivalent
• OEM certifications in UPS, battery energy storage, cooling, or critical power systems
• Training or certification in BMS, DCIM, EMS, or building automation systems
• NIOSH Safety and Health Officer (SHO) certification
• Experience with Modbus, BACnet, SNMP, or industrial communication protocols
