Job summary

DHL Express in Malaysia seeks a Credit Risk Specialist to monitor dunning, execute ICCC Stop Credit, and perform rigorous credit checks and approvals. The role involves reviewing financial documents, coordinating with CFOs and Country OTC managers, and mitigating trading risks across the OTC chain.

Qualifications

• Good telephone conversation/handling skills.
• Effective communication and conversational skills.
• High customer focus and service orientation.
• Advanced MS office knowledge.
• Intermediate Presentation skills.
• Analysis of financial statements.
• 3 years and more previous Credit Risk Management experience is preferred.
• Sensitive to cultural specifics.
• Local language(s) / Multi lingual (in Shared Service environment).
• Preferably a candidate with proficiency in Mandarin language.
• Bachelor's degree in related fields.
• Intermediate level of English knowledge (DPDHL Business Language) preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of D&B credit risk reports and regarding balance sheet interpretation.

Responsibilities

• Monitor Dunning completion and review Dunning block status by obtaining CFO's approval regularly aligning Crisp Control.
• Perform ICCC Stop Credit Process to ensure customers' accounts with overdue follow credit hold criteria flow to stop credit execution by GSOP alignment.
• Perform Credit Check and Approval by reviewing customers' finance and documents to stop accounts lacking supporting information.
• Credit check and approval for customers with complete supporting documents with Country OTC manager / CFO approval when required.
• Understand External Credit Agency process and factor in Credit Check/Approval.
• Ensure adequate follow up upon identified risks and gaps.
• Track high‑risk customers, overdue trends, and sudden changes in payment behavior.
• Perform SAP AR master data maintenance with four eye principle.
• Arrange, coordinate and lead regular meetings, visit customers and build improved satisfaction while mitigating trading risks.
