Job summary

Gleneagles Hospital Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Credit Control/Accounts Receipt role to support daily collections, invoicing, and follow-ups with corporate clients and patients. The incumbent will liaise with multiple departments to ensure timely payments and accurate records, maintaining strong communication in English and Bahasa Malaysia.

Responsibilities include issuing reminders, documenting collection actions in HIS, and supporting related cashiering and administrative tasks.

Qualifications

• Minimum SPM or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year of relevant working experience in hospital collection environment.
• Proficient in English and Bahasa Malaysia; good written and verbal communication.

Job description

Responsible for supporting daily credit control and collection activities, including invoicing, receipting, payment follow-up, refunds and maintaining accurate collection records. The role also involves liaising with patients, corporate clients and internal departments on payment-related matters.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Follow up on outstanding payments from corporate clients and self-paying patients, and maintain updated collection records.

Ensure invoices are sent to corporate clients promptly and accurately.

Follow up with corporate clients on claims and payment documentation.

Prepare and issue payment notifications and reminder letters to patients, guarantors and corporate clients.

Attend to payment-related enquiries from doctors, patients and payors.

Liaise with Finance on discount approvals, instalment appeals and refunds of excess payments.

Update follow-up actions and collection status in the Hospital Information System.

Prepare and maintain relevant credit control and payment documentation.

Assist with cashiering, receipting, payment requisitions, refunds and other related administrative processes.

Maintain proper filing and documentation of payment and collection records.

Participate in departmental and hospital quality improvement activities.

Attend relevant training programmes and maintain knowledge required for the role.

Perform other related duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications & Experience

Minimum SPM or equivalent.

Minimum 1 year of relevant working experience, preferably in a hospital collection environment.

Other Requirements

Able to communicate and write effectively in English and Bahasa Malaysia.

Pleasant personality with good communication and interpersonal skills.

Able to handle payment follow-ups and enquiries professionally.
