Gleneagles Kuala Lumpur Hospital is seeking a Pharmacist to assist the Pharmacy Manager and Senior Pharmacists in daily operations for efficient hospital drug management and cost-effective utilization of medications.

You will interpret, prepare and dispense prescriptions, provide drug counseling, supervise staff, train personnel, and ensure compliance with hospital policies and local regulations. Opportunities to support accreditation and quality initiatives are available.

Responsabilités

• Interpret, prepare and dispense drug prescriptions for all patients and maintain records for hospital use and legislation.
• Perform drug counseling when required.
• Supervise day-to-day running of Pharmacy Department consistent with hospital policy and local laws.
• Supervise Pharmacy Assistants, Technicians and support staff in preparation of drug orders and provision of services.
• Conductor trainings for departmental staff, nursing personnel and public.
• Provide up-to-date drug information to medical practitioners and public.
• Manage storage, control and documentation of Psychotropic, Dangerous and Controlled Drugs.
• Maintain inventory levels at all outlets and minimize wastage.
• Monitor and manage inventory movement at assigned unit.
• Coordinate stock takes and maintain relationships with medical providers.
• Keep current with trends, research and developments in field of practice.
• Participate in Pharmacy on-call roster and rotation between outpatient/in-patient or satellite units.
• Support Hospital Administration in accreditation efforts (JCI, ISO, MSQH).
• Engage in quality indicators tasks for the department and hospital.

The incumbent is responsible for assisting the Pharmacy Manager, Assistant Pharmacy Manager, and Senior Pharmacist(s) in the daily management of the Pharmacy Department in ensuring efficient and effective operation as well as cost-effective utilization of drugs for the hospital.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

To interpret, prepare and dispense drug prescriptions for all patients and to maintain appropriate records for hospital use and legislative purpose.

To perform drug counseling when required.

To supervise the day-to-day running of Pharmacy Department and ensure conformance of practice towards hospital policy and local legislations.

To supervise Pharmacy Assistants, Technicians and other support staff in the preparation of drug orders, provision of pharmacy services and other related duties.

To conduct training for departmental staff, nursing personnel, members of the public including performance evaluation for Pharmacy staff.

To be able to provide up to date drug information to the medical practitioners, other healthcare providers and members of the public.

To be responsible for the storage, control, documentation and supply of Psychotropic, Dangerous Drugs and Controlled Drugs and proper maintenance of records.

To maintain adequate inventory level at all outlets of Pharmacy and minimize wastage.

To monitor and manage inventory movement at assigned unit.

To coordinate and participate in stock take exercise as scheduled by the hospital.

To establish and maintain good rapport and working relationships with all medical providers.

To keep professionally up-dated with current trends, research and developments in field of practice.

To participate in the Pharmacy "on-call" roster when applicable.

To participate in the rotation roster between outpatient and in-patient pharmacy or other satellite units.

To support the Hospital Administration in the preparation, documentation and implementation of any program towards the accreditation of JCI, ISO, MSQH and any other quality system accreditation.

You are responsible to be engaged in the department and Hospital quality indicators related tasks or activities.

To perform any additional assignments and duties as assigned by the immediate superior or Pharmacy Manager.
