Job summary

Nestlé S.A. in Malaysia seeks a dedicated Cost Analyst to ensure accurate, timely reporting for manufacturing costing and support the Period End Close for group and internal management reporting.

You will analyse factory variances, identify cost drivers, and provide insights to Operations and Business Units while ensuring compliance with Nestle Standards and SAP Costing processes at the Chembong Factory in Negeri Sembilan.

Qualifications

• Relevant experience in Accounting / Finance.
• Manufacturing costing experience, ideally in a factory or supply chain.
• University Degree in Business, Finance or Accounting.
• Willing to be assigned in Chembong Factory in Negeri Sembilan.

Responsibilities

• Review and analyse Factory Variances and explain results to Management.
• Review and analyse actual Costs of Production and identify key drivers.
• Comply with Nestle Accounting Standards and Nestle Costing Standards; perform periodic audits.
• Involvement with cost improvement projects (SIMPLEX & OPEX).
• Maintain Data Based Management in SAP Costing system.
• Review factory KPIs including operations and financial performance.
• Collaborate with Costing Centre of Competence on PEC and Master Data.
• Communicate targeted costing information to relevant parties.

Job description

Ensure accurate, timely, efficient and quality reporting and analysis for manufacturing costing. Covers activities during Period End Close for group reporting and internal management reporting. Manage and responsible to the annual Standard Cost Budget process by working with the factory, business units, Costing Centre of competence, Operations and Procurement.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Review and analyse Factory Variances and provide transparency on variances to Management (Operations and Business Units).
• Review and analyse actual Costs of Production (identify key drivers, provide analysis and explanation on results, provide insight on trends).
• Comply with Nestle Accounting Standards, Nestle Costing Standards for Manufacturing and Company Standing Instructions. Perform periodical audit and follow up of previous audit issues.
• Involvement with factory initiatives via cost improvement projects (SIMPLEX & OPEX)
• Ensure proper maintenance of Data Based Management in SAP Costing system.
• Review and analyse factory key performance indicators including operations performance, financial performance and compliance measures.
• Provide benchmarking and cost analysis requests to support the business on SKU optimisation reviews.
• Collaborate with Costing Centre of Competence on operational activities such as Period End Close (PEC); Master Data; factory health checks.
• Ensure timely communication of targeted information to the relevant parties; ensure services provided are in line wih agreed expectations
• Deliver and provide costing knowledge to Business Units and Factories.
• To be the contact person with NBS team to esnure the compliance of Sugar Tax Declaration to custom

Required Qualifications:

• Relevant experience in Accounting / Finance
• Manufacturing costing experience; ideally within a factory or supply chain environment
• University Degree in Business, Finance or Accounting
• Willing to be assigned in Chembong Factory in Negeri Sembilan
