TPG Oil & Gas SDN BHD based in Tanjung Langsat, Johor, seeks a Cost Control Executive/Cost Controller to monitor and control operating costs and prepare cost reports. The role requires collaboration with Production, Engineering, Purchasing, Warehouse, and Finance to verify cost data and identify savings opportunities.

Ideal candidates hold a Diploma or Degree in Accounting/Finance/Engineering and have 3–5 years of cost control or manufacturing experience, with strong Excel skills and the ability

• Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
• 3-5 years' experience in cost control, costing, finance, or manufacturing operations is an advantage.
• Good analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and familiar with reporting systems.
• Able to work with different departments and meet reporting deadlines.

Responsabilidades

• Monitor production costs, raw materials, utilities, manpower, maintenance, and other operating expenses.
• Prepare monthly cost reports and compare actual costs against budget and production targets.
• Track cost per ton/unit of production and highlight unusual increases or variances.
• Work with Production, Engineering, Purchasing, Warehouse, and Finance to verify cost data.
• Monitor inventory usage, wastage, and losses, and report any significant differences.
• Assist in preparing budgets, forecasts, and cost estimates.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities without affecting product quality, safety, or operations.
• Maintain accurate cost records and prepare reports for management.

About the role

To monitor and control operating costs, prepare cost reports, identify cost-saving opportunities, and support management in improving the company's cost efficiency.

Key responsibilities

Monitor production costs, raw materials, utilities, manpower, maintenance, and other operating expenses.

Prepare monthly cost reports and compare actual costs against budget and production targets.

Track cost per ton/unit of production and highlight unusual increases or variances.

Work with Production, Engineering, Purchasing, Warehouse, and Finance to verify cost data.
