Job summary

Gulf Lubes Malaysia Sdn Bhd is seeking a Cost Control Executive / Cost Controller to monitor and manage operating costs, prepare cost reports, and identify cost-saving opportunities. You will work with Production, Engineering, Purchasing, Warehouse and Finance to ensure accurate cost data and drive cost efficiency.

The ideal candidate holds a Diploma or Degree in a related field and has 3–5 years of cost control or manufacturing finance experience, with strong Excel skills and reporting

Qualifications

• Strong analytical, numerical and problem-solving abilities required.
• Proficient in Excel and familiar with reporting systems.
• Able to work with multiple departments and meet reporting deadlines.
• Experience in cost control, costing, finance, or manufacturing operations is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Monitor production costs, raw materials, utilities, manpower, maintenance and other operating expenses.
• Prepare monthly cost reports and compare actual costs against budget and targets.
• Track cost per tonne/unit of production and report variances.
• Collaborate with Production, Engineering, Purchasing, Warehouse and Finance to verify cost data.
• Monitor inventory usage, wastage and losses; report significant differences.
• Assist in preparing budgets, forecasts and cost estimates.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality, safety or operations.
• Maintain accurate cost records and generate management reports.
