• Proficiency in journal entries including cost allocations, accruals, and inventory postings.
• Diploma or degree in Accounting/Finance; ACCA/CPA an advantage.
• Proficiency with accounting software and Excel; attention to detail.

Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Cost Accountant role based in Greater Malacca. The Cost Accountant will analyze production costs, prepare cost reports, and support pricing decisions for semiconductor equipment, automation solutions, and related products. Day-to-day responsibilities include maintaining cost records, preparing and reviewing journal entries, reconciling inventory and work-in-progress accounts, and assisting in the preparation of financial statements. The role also involves collaborating with operations and procurement teams to monitor cost variances, support budgeting and forecasting, and recommend cost efficiency improvements. The Cost Accountant will ensure compliance with internal controls and relevant accounting standards while providing clear, data-driven insights to management.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong Cost Accounting and Finance skills, with experience in manufacturing or semiconductor-related environments preferred.
• Candidates should possess skills in preparing and interpreting Financial Statements, including profit and loss, balance sheet, and cost reports.
• Candidates should possess solid Analytical Skills, with the ability to interpret cost data, identify trends, and support business decisions.
• Candidates should possess proficiency in Journal Entries (Accounting), including cost allocations, accruals, and inventory-related postings.
• Relevant qualifications such as a diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., ACCA, CPA) are an advantage.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Excel, with attention to detail and strong numerical accuracy.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams on-site in Greater Malacca.
• Knowledge of cost control, budgeting, and standard costing systems within a production or industrial setting is beneficial.
