Job summary

OCBC Bank (Malaysia) Berhad is seeking a data analytics professional to support Digital Sales and the CSS desk. The role involves shaping processes, extracting data, and enabling digitisation initiatives with robust documentation and governance.

The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in data analytics tools, experience in banking, and excellent communication skills to collaborate across divisions. English proficiency is essential, with Chinese as a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Data Science, Computer Science or equivalent.
• Knowledge of data analytics and related applications (Tableau, PowerBI, SQL, Excel VBA) is beneficial.
• Banking experience/knowledge is a plus.
• Proficient in English; Chinese proficiency is a plus.

• Establish new or revise processes to support GM CSS business strategies, especially Digital Sales.
• Facilitate data extraction, compilation, reporting and analytics for CSS desk.
• Enable digitisation initiatives – data, RPA and automation, with framework and docs.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Establish new or revise processes to support GM CSS business strategies in particular Digital Sales.
• Facilitate data extraction, compilation, reporting and analytics for CSS desk.
• Enable GM's Digitization initiatives – Digitise Information, RPA and Automation, including establishing relevant frameworks and process procedures/ documentation.
• Enhance processes/systems together with the business and support units to mitigate operational risks and ensure accuracy in reporting.
• Own business testing activities including test strategy, test cases, execution reviews and defect management. Validate system enhancements and ensure production readiness.
• Ensure continuity and enhancement of system to accommodate the business needs and flow, to enable GM to achieve OP.
• Collaborate with other divisions and business partners to facilitate and execute delivery of new products, services and channels for the Bank.
• Grow adoption, transaction volume and revenues of Digital Sales channels across CSS product suite including Business Banking FX Online, CFS Online FX, FX API etc.
• Support the Consumer Financial Services FX business across customer segments including Mass, Premier and Premier Private.
• Train and develop capability as a Global Markets CSS dealer, including obtaining PKMC license.
• Support CSS desk across business activities where required.
• Execute management action plans and address areas of improvement for BNM, MAS, other Regulatory and Internal Audit findings.

Requirements:

• Good degree in Finance/Data Science/Computer Science or equivalent
• Knowledge of data analytics and related applications e.g. Tableau, PowerBI, SQL, Excel VBA will be beneficial
• Banking experience/knowledge a plus
• Proficient in English. Chinese proficiency a plus
