This role primarily supports the Company's corporate development and strategic execution initiatives while undertaking project coordination and designated compliance support responsibilities.
The position will assist in coordinating the Company's Malaysia Digital (MD) / Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC) related initiatives and work closely with Human Resources, Legal & Compliance, and other internal stakeholders to support the Company's continuous compliance with relevant framework requirements and corporate development objectives.
Requirements
- 1. A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Corporate Development, Project Management, or a related discipline.
- 2. A minimum of two (2) to four (4) years of relevant working experience in corporate development, business development, corporate planning, project coordination, project management, or related functions.
- 3. Exposure to Malaysia Digital (MD) / Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC) initiatives, including MD status applications, renewals, compliance matters, government grants, incentive programmes, visa-related coordination, or similar projects, will be considered an added advantage.
- 4. Good analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to gather information, conduct research, and provide practical recommendations to support business decisions.
- 5. Good interpersonal and coordination skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal departments, external stakeholders, and professional advisers while maintaining clear and transparent communication.
- 6. Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare reports, organise project documentation, and provide timely progress updates to management.
- 7. A responsible, self-motivated, disciplined, and proactive individual with good organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced working environment.
- 8. Basic knowledge or exposure to corporate governance, corporate compliance, statutory administration, or corporate secretarial matters will be an added advantage.
- 9. Proficiency in Mandarin will be considered an added advantage.
Key Responsibilities
- 1. Assist in executing the Company's corporate development and strategic initiatives as directed by Management, including conducting industry research, market analysis, competitor benchmarking, business information gathering, and preparing structured reports and recommendations.
- 2. Assist in coordinating corporate development projects, strategic initiatives, business collaborations, and investment-related activities by monitoring project progress, coordinating stakeholders, preparing project documentation, identifying implementation issues, and providing timely updates to Management.
- 3. Coordinate and communicate with internal departments and external stakeholders to facilitate project execution, ensuring information is communicated accurately, promptly, and transparently.
- 4. Assist in researching, evaluating, and coordinating external vendors, consultants, and service providers relating to corporate development projects, government grants, incentive programmes, strategic initiatives, or other assigned projects.
- 5. Assist in coordinating matters relating to the Malaysia Digital (MD) / MDEC framework, including framework maintenance, documentation preparation, government grant or incentive applications, visa-related coordination, compliance documentation, and liaison with Legal & Compliance, Human Resources, external consultants, and relevant authorities where required. This position performs coordination and administrative support functions only and does not assume any statutory or regulatory responsibilities.
