Job description

Corporate Communications & Content Intern

We are seeking a creative, organized, and proactive Corporate Communications Intern to support our Group Communications department. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys social media, content creation, branding, and event management and is looking to gain hands‑on experience in a dynamic corporate environment.

The intern will work closely with the Group Communications team on social media content, corporate events, internal and external communications, branding initiatives, and other communication-related activities across the Group.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Group Communications team in the planning, coordination, and execution of corporate events, internal activities, stakeholder engagements, and communication initiatives.
• Create and edit simple social media graphics, videos, reels, event highlights, and digital content creation and AI-powered platforms
• Capture basic photos and videos during events and activities for use across the Group's communication and social media channels.
• Develop, post and track content on social media platforms for Chin Hin Group Berhad and its subsidiaries
• Support the implementation of internal communication initiatives, including employee engagement activities, townhalls, and the Group's employee portal (SharePoint), ensuring alignment with the Group's brand story and narrative.
• Support corporate branding initiatives, brand training, brand audits, and the implementation of brand guidelines across the Group.
• Support the planning and execution of PR, media relations, and corporate communications activities.
• Basic housekeeping duties which include the upkeep of important files, documentation and SOPs for audit purposes and good governance adherence
• Aid the managers in administrative duties such as scheduling meetings, preparing meeting materials and minutes, tracking invoices, compiling basic reports and analytics, and basic data entry if required
• Handle sensitive corporate information, documents, and communications with a high level of professionalism, integrity, and discretion

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing an undergraduate or graduate programme in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Mass Communication, Business Administration, Digital Media, or a related field.
• Familiarity with digital content creation and AI-powered platforms such as Canva, CapCut, Adobe Express, ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, Gemini, or other similar tools used for graphic design, video editing, content ideation, copywriting, presentation development, and social media content creation.
• Able to use digital tools to create social media visuals, short‑form videos, reels, presentations, event materials, and basic marketing content. Basic understanding of major social media platforms such as LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok, including content formats and platform trends.
• Knowledge of social media scheduling, analytics, or content management tools would be an added advantage.
• Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and comfortable using digital communication platforms.
• Able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
• High level of discretion and professionalism
• Energetic and eager to tackle new projects and ideas
