Job summary

UVYNOS SDN. BHD. is seeking a hands-on Control Engineer to design, program, test and commission building management and automation systems for industrial facilities in Penang.

You’ll work on-site, assemble control logic, integrate DDC/PLC/BMS/SCADA, and deliver functional, reliable systems that meet project requirements. The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of experience in BMS/DDC/PLC/SCADA, understands BACnet/Modbus, and is prepared to travel to project sites.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in BMS, DDC, PLC, SCADA or industrial automation.
• Experience programming DDC or PLC controllers with BACnet or Modbus.
• Willingness to travel to project sites.
• Education: diploma or degree in Electrical, Electronic, Mechatronics, Automation Engineering or related field.
• Note: immediate availability is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop, program, and commission DDC, PLC, BMS, and SCADA systems with control logic and HMI graphics.
• Integrate HVAC equipment, sensors, controllers, and third-party systems using BACnet, Modbus, TCP/IP.
• Perform I/O testing, functional testing, point-to-point verification, and system commissioning.
• Diagnose and resolve control programming, wiring, instrumentation, and network issues.
• Prepare I/O lists, schematics, system architecture, drawings, and commissioning reports.
• Collaborate with project engineers, technicians, contractors, and clients to ensure successful delivery.

Uvynos is looking for a practical, hands-on Control Engineer who enjoys programming, automation, and solving real-world engineering challenges.

You won't just be sitting behind a desk writing code. You'll be working on-site, commissioning control systems, troubleshooting equipment, and making sure everything operates exactly as designed.

You will be responsible for developing, programming, testing, and commissioning Building Management Systems (BMS), Direct Digital Controls (DDC), PLCs, and SCADA systems for factories, cleanrooms, and industrial facilities.

We need someone who understands how control systems work, enjoys solving technical problems, and takes pride in seeing their programming bring equipment and entire facilities to life.

What You'll Do

Programming & Configuration: Develop, program, and commission DDC, PLC, BMS, and SCADA systems, including control logic, sequences of operation, and HMI graphics.

System Integration: Integrate HVAC equipment, sensors, controllers, and third-party systems using communication protocols such as BACnet, Modbus, and TCP/IP.

Testing & Commissioning: Perform I/O testing, functional testing, point-to-point verification, and system commissioning to ensure reliable operation.

Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve control programming, field wiring, instrumentation, and network communication issues.

Engineering & Documentation: Prepare and review I/O lists, control schematics, system architecture, technical drawings, and commissioning reports.

Project Support: Work closely with project engineers, technicians, contractors, and clients to ensure successful project delivery.

What You Need to Succeed

Experience: At least 2 years of hands‑on experience in BMS, DDC, PLC, SCADA, or industrial automation.

Technical Skills: Good understanding of control logic, electrical wiring, instrumentation, I/O configuration, and automation systems.

Programming: Experience programming DDC or PLC controllers, with knowledge of BACnet, Modbus, or other industrial communication protocols.

Mobility: Must possess your own transport (car) and be willing to travel to project sites.

Mindset: A hands‑on problem solver who is independent, responsible, detail-oriented, and willing to learn new technologies.

Education: Diploma or degree in Electrical, Electronic, Mechatronics, Automation Engineering, or a related field.

Bonus Points: Experience with Siemens Desigo CC, Siemens PXC DDC controllers, Siemens S7 PLC (TIA Portal), or Niagara N4.

Note: Candidates who can start immediately or on short notice will have an added advantage.
