Horizontal Talent is seeking an experienced Assistant Control Manager to oversee Building Management Systems (BMS) for data centre projects in Malaysia. You will oversee design, engineering, implementation, and system integration of BMS and HVAC controls, coordinating with EPMS, fire alarm, and security systems.

You will support presales activities, tender reviews, and cost estimation, and work closely with engineers, consultants, contractors, and vendors to ensure successful project delivery

Qualificações

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• 7–10 years of experience in BMS, building automation or control systems.
• Data centre or mission-critical infrastructure experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of BMS architecture, HVAC controls, control philosophy and system integration.
• Familiarity with BACnet, Modbus and other industrial protocols.
• Experience with BMS platforms such as Schneider EcoStruxure, Siemens Desigo, Tridium Niagara or equivalent.
• Experience in presales engineering, tender support or solution design is an advantage.
• Good testing, commissioning and troubleshooting of control systems.
• Strong communication, coordination and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and support multiple projects.

Responsabilidades

• Coordinate integration between BMS, EPMS, HVAC, fire alarm, security and third-party systems.
• Support presales activities, tender reviews, technical proposals, solution design and cost estimation.
• Work closely with engineering teams, consultants, contractors and vendors for successful system integration.
• Evaluate technical specifications, equipment selections and vendor proposals.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting across project sites.
• Support FAT, SAT, IST and commissioning activities.

About The Role

We are looking for an experienced Assistant Control Manager to oversee Building Management Systems (BMS), control system design, integration, and technical support for data centre projects. The successful candidate will also support presales activities, technical proposals, tender preparation, and control system solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the design, engineering, and implementation of BMS and control systems for data centre projects.
• Review control system architecture, control philosophy, Sequence of Operations (SOO), I/O schedules, and technical drawings.
• Provide technical expertise in HVAC controls, Critical BMS (CBMS), Non-Critical BMS (NCBMS), and system integration.
• Coordinate integration between BMS, Electrical Power Monitoring Systems (EPMS), HVAC, fire alarm, security systems, and third-party systems.
• Support presales activities, including tender reviews, technical proposals, solution design, and cost estimation.
• Work closely with engineering teams, consultants, contractors, and vendors to ensure successful system integration.
• Evaluate technical specifications, equipment selections, and vendor proposals.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting across multiple data centre project sites.
• Support Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), Site Acceptance Tests (SAT), Integrated Systems Testing (IST), and commissioning activities.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Mechatronics, Automation, Control Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 7–10 years of relevant experience in BMS, building automation, or control systems.
• Experience in data centre or mission-critical infrastructure projects is preferred.
• Strong technical knowledge of BMS architecture, HVAC controls, control philosophy, and system integration.
• Familiarity with BACnet, Modbus, and other industrial communication protocols.
• Experience with BMS platforms such as Schneider EcoStruxure, Siemens Desigo, Tridium Niagara, or equivalent systems.
• Experience in presales engineering, technical proposals, tender support, or solution design would be an advantage.
• Good understanding of testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting of control systems.
• Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and support multiple projects.
