Job summary

Lanco Integrated is seeking a Software Controls Engineer I to assist in the development, testing, and support of control systems for automated machinery. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in automation, control systems, or related field.
• Basic understanding of ladder logic and PLC programming (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Mitsubishi).
• Exposure to HMI/SCADA tools is an advantage.
• Good problem-solving and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist in writing and debugging PLC code according to established specifications and standards.
• Support the development and testing of HMI interfaces for machine operation.
• Perform basic testing and verification of machine functions, including sensors, actuators, and safety systems.
• Work closely with mechanical and electrical technicians to troubleshoot and ensure correct operation of machines.
• Support documentation efforts including drawings, wiring diagrams, and software backups.
• Collaborate with senior engineers to confirm machine sequences and control logic.
• Help review and maintain machine manuals and technical documents.
• Comply with ISO procedures and participate in maintaining a safe and organized work environment.
• Assist with field service and on-site support during machine installation and commissioning, as required.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and team collaboration.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the engineering team or supervisor.

Job Qualifications:

• Diploma holders with relevant experience will be considered.
• 2 -4 years of experience in automation, control systems, or related field.
• Basic understanding of ladder logic and PLC programming (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Mitsubishi, or similar).
• Exposure to HMI/SCADA tools is an advantage.
• Familiarity with electrical components, sensors, actuators, and motor controls.
• Ability to read basic electrical schematics and technical documents.
• Eagerness to learn and take direction from senior engineers.
• Good problem-solving and analytical thinking.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong team player with a positive, proactive attitude.
• Willingness to travel occasionally for training, installation, or commissioning support.
• Ability to work in workshop and factory environments when needed.
