Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a Cyber Security Specialist to support project teams by resolving security issues that may hinder progress. You will report to the Security Operations Manager and collaborate across departments to embed security into delivery.

You will assess risks, implement practical safeguards, and help ensure compliance with PCI DSS, ISO and ISM standards for transactional websites. The role requires hands-on experience and a proactive approach to protecting information assets.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in OS environments including UNIX, Windows, and Linux.
• Experience with firewalls, intrusion detection, and incident response.
• Knowledge of PCI DSS, ISO, and ISM standards.
• Policy writing, vulnerability testing, and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with project teams to resolve security-related technical challenges.
• Identify security issues during project execution.
• Develop and implement practical, risk-based security solutions to unblock project activities.
• Provide advice on security best practices and organizational policies.
• Work with partners to balance security with operational needs.
• Maintain knowledge of threats, vulnerabilities, and mitigations relevant to projects.
• Document outcomes and deliverables for traceability.
• Troubleshoot and resolve security-related IT issues.
• Ensure IT issues are managed per IT Security Risk Management Policy.
• Maintain security processes and documentation to reflect changes in IT environment.
• Act as internal information security advisor across the organization.
