Job summary

Entegris (M) Sdn Bhd, Kulim Hi-Tech Park, Kedah, is seeking a Sr Engineer/Engineer for Continuous Improvement to lead plant-wide CI initiatives. You will drive Lean deployment, mentor Kaizen teams, and collaborate with Operations to improve productivity and reduce waste.

The role requires 3–5 years in CI/lean manufacturing, a relevant engineering degree, and strong problem-solving and communication skills. Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, and AutoCAD is highly desirable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering or related field
• 3–5 years of experience in continuous improvement, lean manufacturing, or industrial engineering
• Proven problem-solving abilities and strong communication skills across all levels of the organization
• Self-motivated and capable of working independently with minimal supervision
• Certification in Lean, Six Sigma (Green Belt or Black Belt) or equivalent is highly desirable
• Proficiency in core industrial engineering techniques; AutoCAD experience is an added advantage
• Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills in collaboration with internal stakeholders

Responsibilities

• Lead and drive plant-wide continuous improvement initiatives to improve operational efficiency
• Collaborate with Operations teams to identify, analyze, and implement process improvements focused on productivity, waste reduction, and cost optimization
• Drive Lean deployment at the plant level, emphasizing Tiered Daily Management, 5S + Safety, SMED and other CI initiatives
• Plan and conduct Kaizen events; provide training and mentorship to Kaizen teams on Lean methodologies, including PDCA, Value Stream Mapping (VSM)
• Utilize Lean and Six Sigma tools to assess current processes, uncover inefficiencies, and convert data into actionable insights and improvement plans
• Evaluate implications of new product transfers on workflows, resource allocation, and process optimization strategies
• Deliver internal training and awareness programs to promote Lean Sigma principles and a CI culture
• Utilize data mining techniques to uncover cost-saving opportunities and implement robust performance tracking systems
• Perform ad-hoc tasks and assignments to support organizational objectives
