Job summary

The role requires a Bachelor's degree and 3–5 years in technology and new media with strong reporting, analytical, and technical writing skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from a recognized university in a relevant field and minimum CGPA of 3.00.
• 3–5 years of experience with strong knowledge in technology and new media, plus understanding of legal/regulatory frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, analyse and identify content on new media platforms to detect violations and flag actions.
• Coordinate with LEAs and ministries on anticipatory management and content takedown/escalation.
• Produce and manage statistical data related to new media in Malaysia when assigned.
• Generate articles for the sebenarya.myportal and maintain portal databases.
• Build documentation around analyses, methodologies, and data definitions.
• Engage in content monitoring activities and track key events to maintain organizational awareness and speed.
• Identify misuse using internal data, open-source intelligence, and third-party intel.
• Make decisions on complicated content moderation and escalation paths.
• Review sensitive content including graphics and disturbing subject matter.
• Utilise data to anticipate virality and potential public impact and refer cases as needed.
• Work collaboratively and independently on multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrate quick learning and adaptability to evolving processes and needs.
• Deliver accurate, high-quality results with attention to detail.
• Ensure compliance with enforcement and regulatory requirements.
• Perform general duties as assigned by management.
