Job summary

JTECH CABINET is seeking a Content Creator cum Video Editor to own social media content from planning and shooting to editing, publishing and analysis. You will develop monthly content directions, produce engaging videos, and maintain consistent branding across platforms.

Ideal candidates will have hands-on video editing skills, a strong portfolio, and the ability to craft captions in Bahasa Malaysia and English.

Qualifications

• Able to shoot and edit videos independently (portfolio required).
• Strong portfolio in content creation and video editing.
• Proficient in CapCut, Canva or equivalent editing tools.
• Familiar with TikTok, Facebook and Instagram formats and trends.
• Strong copywriting in Bahasa Malaysia and English.

Responsibilities

Content Creator cum Video Editor

JTECH CABINET is looking for a Content Creator cum Video Editor who can take ownership of our social media content — from planning and shooting to editing, publishing, and analysing performance.

If you enjoy creating content, exploring new ideas, following social media trends, and seeing your content perform, we would love to have you on our team.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan monthly and weekly content for JTECH CABINET's social media platforms including TikTok, Facebook and Instagram.
• Develop content ideas based on company campaigns, completed projects, promotions, educational topics, customer pain points and current social media trends.
• Propose monthly content direction, concepts and content styles to Management for review and approval.
• Prepare and maintain a structured Content Calendar to ensure consistent posting.
• Identify suitable content for different objectives such as Awareness, Engagement, Consideration and Conversion.

Content Shooting & Production

• Visit customer/project sites to capture suitable video content.
• Capture the complete project journey including:
  • Before renovation / installation
  • Site measurement or consultation
  • Work-in-progress
  • Installation process
  • Completed project / final reveal
• Direct simple video scenes involving staff, products or project demonstrations when required.
• Ensure footage captured is suitable for short-form social media content.

Video Editing & Creative Execution

• Edit engaging short-form videos for TikTok, Facebook Reels and Instagram Reels.
• Create strong hooks, subtitles, text overlays, transitions and suitable visual elements to improve viewer retention.
• Create attractive thumbnails and simple graphic content when required.
• Adapt one project or topic into different content styles and formats for multiple social media platforms.
• Maintain consistent JTECH CABINET branding and visual quality across all content.

Copywriting & Social Media Publishing

• Write engaging captions and copywriting in Bahasa Malaysia and English based on the target audience.
• Create suitable hooks, headlines and calls-to-action for each piece of content.
• Schedule and publish approved content according to the Content Calendar.
• Ensure all posts are published accurately and on schedule.

Social Media Performance & Reporting

• Monitor the performance of published content across TikTok, Facebook and Instagram.
• Prepare weekly and monthly Social Media Performance Reports.
• Track important metrics such as:
  • Views / Reach
  • Engagement
  • Likes, Comments, Shares & Saves
  • Follower Growth
  • Video Watch Performance
  • Top-performing content
• Identify which videos, topics, hooks and content styles perform best.
• Present key findings to Management and recommend improvements for upcoming content.

Requirements

• Able to shoot and edit videos independently.
• Experience in Content Creation, Video Editing, Social Media, Digital Marketing or related fields is preferred.
• Fresh graduates with a strong portfolio and good creative skills are encouraged to apply.
• Proficient in CapCut, Canva or equivalent editing/design software.
• Familiar with TikTok, Facebook and Instagram content formats and trends.
• Good copywriting and communication skills in Bahasa Malaysia and English.
• Able to generate content ideas instead of only waiting for instructions.
• Comfortable travelling to project sites around Melaka for content shooting.
• Able to manage multiple content projects and meet publishing deadlines.
• Creative, organised, responsible and able to work independently.
