Job summary

ONNEC Group in Kuala Lumpur is seeking an experienced Facilities Manager to take ownership of day-to-day operations at a data centre construction site. You will act as on-site lead, coordinating with clients, engineering teams and vendors to ensure uptime and compliance.

The role focuses on safety, maintenance planning, supplier management, and meticulous documentation, with strong emphasis on SLAs, KPIs, and proactive problem solving.

Qualifications

• Experience in large construction site environments.
• Data centre knowledge or exposure.
• Proven ability to manage contractors and vendors in live environments.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Confident communicator with client-facing experience.
• Understanding of SLAs, KPIs, and operational performance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive works.
• Act as the primary client interface, providing updates, reporting, and escalation.
• Manage suppliers, contractors, and specialist vendors ensuring compliance and safety.
• Maintain documentation, compliance records, and asset registers.
• Ensure activities meet health & safety, compliance, and service standards.

You will act as the on-site lead, working closely with clients, engineering teams, and vendors to maintain uptime, manage risk, and drive continuous improvement.
