Job summary

Yu Tong Construction Sdn Bhd is seeking a Construction Site Engineer to join our project management team on a full-time basis in Penang. You will oversee daily site operations, ensure quality, safety compliance, and coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and clients to deliver projects on time and within budget.

The ideal candidate holds a Diploma or Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering or Construction Management, with 2–3 years of site experience, a solid grasp of drawings and specifications, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related field.
• 2–3 years in construction site engineer or similar role on building/civil projects.
• Solid knowledge of construction methods, materials, safety regulations, and local codes in Malaysia.
• Strong ability to read drawings, specifications, and construction documentation.
• CIDB competency card or related qualification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily site operations to ensure conformance with project specs and drawings.
• Conduct regular site inspections and maintain progress records.
• Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers to align work schedules and resolve issues.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations on site.
• Prepare daily reports, progress updates and essential project documentation.
• Support quality control procedures and inspections to maintain standards.
• Assist in cost control by monitoring materials usage and labor productivity.
• Communicate effectively with site teams, management and clients about project status.
