Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a Quantity Surveyor based in Gemas & Kuantan to oversee pre-contract and post-contract quantity surveying activities for building construction projects. The role focuses on cost control, tendering, and commercial support.

You will perform take-offs, prepare budgets, obtain quotations, monitor expenditures, and manage claims and variations, while collaborating with site teams and clients.

Qualifications

• QS post for both Pre & Post Contract works in Building Construction
• Knowledge of construction methods, costing summary and materials budget handling
• Proactive and able to work on own initiative with minimum supervision
• Able to communicate in Bahasa Malaysia and English

Responsibilities

• Quantity take-off and measurement
• Source and obtain quotations from suppliers and subcontractors
• Compile supporting documents and tender submission
• Source and evaluate quotations from subcontractors and suppliers
• Prepare cost analysis, budgets and monitor project expenditures
• Prepare, submit and follow up on progress claims
• Evaluate subcontractor claims and manage payment certification
• Manage variation orders and final account with clients, consultants and subcontractors
• Provide commercial and contractual support to site and project teams
