Job summary

Sebarang (M) Sdn Bhd is seeking a proactive purchaser to source and buy construction materials, with a focus on roofing, at competitive prices. You will request quotations, compare offers, and negotiate terms with suppliers to ensure timely deliveries.

Successful candidates will handle purchase orders, coordinate with project teams, and maintain clear purchasing records while supporting project coordination tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Purchasing or related field.
• 2–3 years purchasing experience.
• Experience with construction materials, roofing, manufacturing, or project-based purchasing is preferred.
• Good negotiation and communication skills.
• Comfortable using Microsoft Office and preparing purchasing documentation.
• Experience in roofing or construction industry will be an advantage.
• Able to communicate in Mandarin to liaise with China suppliers; Cantonese and Hokkien are an added advantage only.

Responsibilities

• Source and purchase construction materials, especially roofing materials, at competitive prices.
• Request quotations, compare prices, and negotiate with suppliers.
• Prepare and process purchase orders and follow up on deliveries.
• Coordinate with project teams to ensure materials are delivered on time.
• Maintain good relationships with suppliers and evaluate supplier performance.
• Ensure all purchasing records and documents are properly maintained.
• Provide the administrative support for purchasing and project coordination.
