Job summary

YBS Construction & Engineering Sdn Bhd is seeking an Account Executive to join our Finance team on a full-time basis in Juru, Penang. You will manage accounts and ensure accurate financial reporting across our construction and engineering operations.

You will support management decision-making with timely financial data, perform reconciliations, prepare invoices, and maintain robust records in line with Malaysian standards.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Proven experience as Account Executive or similar accounting role, preferably in construction or engineering.
• Strong proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
• Sound knowledge of financial accounting principles and Malaysian accounting standards.
• Excellent attention to detail with the ability to identify and rectify discrepancies.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and reconcile accounts payable and receivable records.
• Prepare and process invoices, purchase orders, and payment documentation.
• Perform bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow for financial planning.
• Assist in monthly financial statements and management reports.
• Record and verify all financial transactions in the general ledger.
• Follow up on outstanding invoices and manage collections.
• Support accounts payable by processing vendor invoices and payment schedules.
• Conduct account analysis and raise queries for resolution.
• Ensure compliance with accounting policies and financial regulations.
• Maintain organized financial records and documentation.
• Collaborate with finance and other departments to support operations.
