Jora Malaysia is seeking a capable Accountant to oversee full-spectrum accounting across the group. You will manage AP/AR/GL, month-end close, and statutory reporting for multiple entities, while ensuring tax compliance and governance.

Ideal candidates hold a degree in accounting, with 3+ years of construction-industry experience, strong Excel skills, and the ability to lead a small team and collaborate with management on financial planning and cost control.

Formación

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• At least 3 years’ experience in accounting/finance, with supervisory exposure in construction.
• Strong knowledge of Malaysia accounting standards, SST, tax regulations and compliance.
• Proficient with SQL Accounting, AutoCount or similar financial systems.
• Advanced Excel for financial analysis, reporting, and data management.
• Ability to lead and guide a small finance/accounting team and manage multiple deadlines.

Responsabilidades

• Oversee AP, AR, GL and full month-end/year-end closings for all group companies; payroll is centrally managed.
• Prepare financial statements, management reports and statutory reporting for internal/external stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations and internal policies.
• Monitor cash flow, project expenditures, cost control and overall financial performance.
• Provide financial analysis, insights and recommendations to support management decisions.
• Analyze project costing, WIP, margins, and contract financial performance; monitor cost tracking and progress billing.
• Review subcontractor claims and payment certifications in line with contracts.
