Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking an accounting professional in Penang to manage invoices, reconciliations and month-end closing tasks. You will prepare journal entries, assist with tax filings and ensure accuracy in financial records in a busy finance team.

The ideal candidate holds a professional certificate or degree in accounting or finance, with 1–2 years of experience. Prior external audit exposure is a plus, and the ability to work independently and meet deadlines is essential.

Qualifications

• Possess a Professional Certificate, Bachelor’s Degree, or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent.
• Minimum 1–2 years of working experience in a related field. Candidates with prior external audit knowledge and experience will have an added advantage.
• Competent in full set accounting, taxation, and financial reporting will be an added advantage.
• Excellent multitasking skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines and a strong work ethic.
• Self-motivated, with a positive working attitude and able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Issue and process invoices, debit notes, credit notes, merchant payments, and journal entries.
• Perform bank reconciliation accurately and timely.
• Handle month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned from time to time.
