Job summary

MAC CONSTRUCTION CONSULTANT SDN. BHD. is seeking a contract specialist to oversee contractual matters for construction projects, including correspondence, variations, EOT, payment and compliance. The role emphasizes precise record-keeping and risk management.

You will contribute to construction claims drafting, support submissions, and participate in adjudication/arbitration when needed. Strong English skills are required; Malay or Mandarin is a plus, with a minimum of 4 years in the field.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years' relevant experience in the construction industry.
• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering, Law or a related discipline.
• Relevant experience in construction contracts, contract administration and/or claims.
• Strong analytical, drafting and communication skills.
• Good command of English; Bahasa Malaysia and/or Mandarin is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Manage contractual matters for construction projects, including correspondence, notices, variations, EOT, payment and contractual compliance.
• Identify and manage contractual risks, claims and entitlements, with proper supporting records and documentation.
• Prepare and support the preparation of construction claims and contractual submissions.
• Assist and participate in adjudication, arbitration and other dispute resolution proceedings.
