Jora Malaysia is seeking an Accounts Executive to support day-to-day accounting and financial operations, including project cost monitoring and cash flow management. The role involves handling full set of accounts, invoicing, reconciliations, and liaising with auditors and banks to ensure regulatory compliance.
You will work with the Accounts Team to maintain accurate financial records and timely reporting.

Working as part of the Accounts Team, the Accounts Executive shall support the company's day-to-day accounting and financial operations, project cost monitoring, cash flow management and statutory compliance.
Key responsibilities
Handle full set of accounts, including accounts payable, accounts receivable and general ledger
Prepare invoices, payment vouchers, staff claims and other finance-related documents
Perform monthly bank reconciliations and maintain accurate cash and bank records
Monitor company cash flow, bank balances, payment schedules and outstanding receivables
Maintain project-based accounting records and monitor project costs, billings, collections, retention sums and related financial information
Coordinate with the Project and QS/Commercial teams on progress billings, project costs, subcontractor and supplier payments, and outstanding receivables
Assist in month-end and year-end closing and preparation of management accounts
Assist in preparing budgets, cash flow forecasts and financial reports for management
Maintain proper records of fixed assets, payroll-related information, staff reimbursements and other financial schedules
Liaise with auditors, tax agents, banks, company secretary and other external parties when required
Assist with SST, e-Invoice and other statutory or regulatory finance-related matters.
Ensure transactions comply with internal approval procedures and financial controls, and perform other finance-related duties as assigned by management.
About you
Possess at least a Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or other related fields
At least 2–3 years of relevant working experience; experience in construction, infrastructure, engineering or project-based companies will be an added advantage
Able to handle full set of accounts and familiar with accounting principles, financial reporting and basic project costing
Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel; knowledge of e-Invoice systems will be an advantage
Good oral and written proficiency in English and Chinese
Able to communicate effectively with all levels of staff, project teams and external parties
Able to work independently under tight deadlines, with strong attention to detail, initiative and a responsible working attitude
Willing to work flexible hours and travel when required
