Job summary

Big Dutchman in Malaysia is seeking a software-focused professional to develop, maintain and optimize the Company Quotation Configurator. You will work with regional users and the Sales Support team, and coordinate with the Germany-based development team to implement new features.

You will diagnose issues, improve performance and scalability, and provide timely support on inquiries, ensuring requirements are clearly understood and addressed across technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in CS/IT/Engineering or related field.
• Knowledge of system architecture and ability to debug, troubleshoot, and optimize software.
• Strong understanding of software development processes.
• Certificates or training in OO programming and system development are a plus; experience with databases is beneficial.
• Experience in programming and enterprise-level applications; configurator programs experience is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with clear communication.
• Ability to work independently and learn new technologies quickly.

Job description

Develop, maintain and optimize the Company Quotation Configurator by implementing system updates and troubleshoot technical issues related to the system, including bugs and errors.

Work closely with the regional Key users and the Sales Support team to gather technical specifications, rules, and product updates to enhance the Company Quotation Configurator.

Assist with system integration by collaborating with the development team in Germany to ensure the smooth implementation of new functionalities and improvements.

Support regional users and the global development team in resolving issues, implementing new feature requests, and effectively solving bug reports.

Regularly analyze the configurator program for potential optimizations related to performance, usability, and scalability.

Offer technical support to users by addressing inquiries, troubleshooting issues, and providing solutions in a timely manner.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

Knowledge of system architecture and ability to debug, troubleshoot, and optimize software.

Strong understandingof software development processes.

Relevant certificates or training in object bases programming languages and system development are a plus as well as experience in database management

Experience in programming, software development, with a focus on business or enterprise-level applications.

Experience in developing or maintaining configurator programs or similar software solutions is a plus.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to quickly diagnose and resolve technical issues.

Excellent communication skills to interact with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring issues and requirements are clearly understood and addressed.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Willingness to continuously learn new technologies and improve skills in programming and system management.
