Compliance Management Executive (715147)
Compliance Management Executive
The role
You will support compliance and governance for both Malaysian and Singapore entities, working alongside a team that invests in private equity, venture capital and digital assets. Your company secretarial background is the starting point. We will train you on the job to support compliance for a MAS-licensed firm, with hands‑on exposure to how deals and funds actually run.
What you will do
Board meeting support
- Prepare Board meeting agendas, papers and draft resolutions, working with our company secretary.
- Track Board decisions and follow up on action items after each meeting.
Regulatory compliance (MAS, under supervision)
- Prepare MAS regulatory returns, surveys and notifications, and track the regulatory calendar.
- Support AML/CFT controls: client due diligence, periodic KYC reviews, name screening and record‑keeping.
- Maintain compliance registers: representatives, breaches and incidents, conflicts of interest, gifts, personal trading and outsourcing.
- Track new MAS notices, guidelines and circulars, and help update policies and SOPs.
- Support compliance monitoring, internal and external audits, and regulatory inspections.
Investments and fund governance
- Review private equity and venture capital transactions from a compliance angle: investor onboarding, subscription documents, conflicts and approvals.
- Support governance for the group's funds and special‑purpose vehicles, coordinating with administrators, trustees, auditors and legal counsel.
- Prepare compliance reports for the Compliance Directors and the Board.
Training and career path
- Hands‑on training in MAS compliance from our Compliance Directors and Consultants, learning on live work rather than in a classroom.
- A path toward a MAS compliance officer role as your skills and experience grow.
Who we are looking for
- 4–6 years' experience in a company secretarial role, at a corporate secretarial firm or in house. Exposure to financial services, funds or regulated entities is a plus.
- Degree or professional qualification in law, corporate administration, accounting or finance.
- A genuine interest in investments, private markets or financial services is a strong advantage.
- Strong attention to detail, sound judgment on confidential matters, and the ability to manage many deadlines across two jurisdictions.
- Excellent written and spoken English. Bahasa Malaysia and other languages are additional advantage
What we offer
- A move from company secretarial work into investment‑firm compliance, with hands‑on exposure to private equity, venture capital, structured products and digital assets.
- A seat close to real deals: see how a MAS‑licensed platform sources, approves, onboards and governs its investments.
- Mentorship from senior compliance professionals and direct access to leadership.
- The role is fully on‑site in Kuala Lumpur office.
