Private Advertiser in Malaysia seeks an experienced Assistant Compliance Manager / Compliance Manager to lead regulatory compliance, corporate governance and risk management initiatives in a regulated environment.

We are looking for an experienced Assistant Compliance Manager / Compliance Manager to support and oversee the company’s regulatory compliance, corporate governance and risk management activities.
This role is suitable for a compliance professional with experience in a public-listed company, regulated environment or corporate governance function who is ready to take broader ownership across compliance, Bursa requirements, ESG, data protection, internal audit coordination and regulatory matters.
Develop, maintain and monitor compliance policies, procedures, controls and compliance registers.
Monitor regulatory requirements and ensure appropriate follow-up and remediation.
Support compliance with Bursa Malaysia Listing Requirements and corporate governance obligations.
Coordinate statutory and corporate governance matters with the Company Secretary and relevant departments.
Coordinate with outsourced internal auditors and monitor audit findings and corrective actions.
Support and oversee ESG and sustainability reporting and related regulatory requirements.
Support the company's data protection and DPO responsibilities.
Maintain licensing, permits, registrations and regulatory compliance records.
Support contract management and review of tenders, agreements, NDAs and related documentation.
Work closely with Legal, Finance, HR, Company Secretary, Internal Audit and management.
Guide and supervise junior compliance personnel.
Bachelor's Degree in Law, Corporate Governance, Risk Management, Compliance or a related discipline.
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in compliance, corporate governance, ESG, risk management, internal audit or related areas.
Experience handling compliance matters within a public-listed company for at least 2 years is highly preferred.
Good understanding of regulatory compliance and corporate governance requirements.
Exposure to Bursa Malaysia requirements, ESG, PDPA/data protection, internal audit or contract management would be advantageous.
Language proficiency: Able to communicate effectively in English, Mandarin/Chinese and Bahasa Malaysia for business and stakeholder communication.
Strong analytical, organisational and document-review skills.
Able to manage multiple regulatory deadlines and work independently.
Possess own transport and willing to work in Kota Damansara.
