BorderlessHire in Malaysia is seeking a Community Engagement Lead to build and nurture meaningful communities in the cosmetics and beauty sectors. You will plan and execute events, build partnerships, and manage brand experiences both locally in Sepang and abroad.

Ideal candidates have 2–3 years in community engagement or partnerships, with strong networking and presentation skills, and the ability to work weekends and travel. A driving licence is required.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Event Management, Mass Communication, Business or a related field.
• 2–3 years of experience in community engagement, partnerships, events, PR or business development.
• Strong networking, communication, presentation and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute monthly community events, workshops, pop-ups and brand activations in Malaysia and overseas.
• Build, engage and grow online and offline communities.
• Identify communities, organisations and partners for collaboration.
• Develop and manage partnerships with brands, universities, healthcare professionals, creators and event organisers.
• Prepare collaboration proposals, event concepts, timelines, budgets and post-event reports.
• Coordinate with internal teams, vendors and external partners for smooth events.
• Represent the brand professionally during meetings, networking sessions and events.
• Track growth, engagement, attendance, leads, sales and partnership performance.
• Maintain an updated database of community partners and follow up on opportunities.
• Identify opportunities to expand brand presence and strengthen relationships.

Salary: RM2,500 – RM4,500 per month

REQUIREMENTS:

• Diploma or Degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Event Management, Mass Communication, Business or a related field.
• At least 2–3 years of experience in community engagement, partnerships, events, PR, business development or a related role.
• Strong networking, communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
• Creative, proactive and confident in building professional relationships.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple events and deadlines.
• Good command of Bahasa Malaysia and English.
• Comfortable representing a brand at meetings, networking sessions and events.
• Willing to work weekends, travel and attend events when required.
• Possess a valid driving licence and own transportation.
• Existing community, partnership or brand network is an advantage.
